Uzbek community representatives meet in the U.S.
On September 8, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan held a meeting with a delegation from VATAN Global Alliance, an organization operating in the United States. The delegation was led by the organization’s head, Ozod Soliyev. The meeting was attended by Khamidjon Ishmatbekov, First Deputy Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan; Davronbek Makhsudov, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs; and relevant specialists.
During the discussion, the parties addressed issues related to supporting Uzbeks living in the United States. Particular attention was given to the need for ongoing spiritual and moral support for members of the Uzbek community, as well as matters related to their social integration.

The participants emphasized that maintaining regular engagement with Uzbeks living abroad is important for preserving their connection to national and spiritual values. In this context, they discussed possible areas for further work focused on informational, educational, and spiritual support.
Special attention was given to the younger generation. The participants noted the importance of educational and outreach work with young people, as well as the training of qualified young professionals who can effectively engage with Uzbek communities abroad.
Particular emphasis was placed on the need to train specialists who are fluent in foreign languages and are able to give lectures, hold discussions, and organize various educational activities for members of the Uzbek community living outside the country.
According to the participants, having such trained professionals would make it possible to work with young people in a more systematic way, take into account the environment in which Uzbeks abroad live, and communicate important information to them in an accessible manner.
The parties also noted that consistent work in this area could contribute to more effective support for the Uzbek community in the United States, strengthen its connection to national and spiritual values, and expand opportunities for the younger generation.
