During the events, participants were introduced to the investment and economic potential of the Samarkand Region. Particular attention was given to opportunities for cooperation in tourism, industry, information technology, agriculture, education, and services. Guests also had the opportunity to explore an exhibition featuring products from local manufacturers, traditional handicrafts, and regional food products.
As part of the business program, meetings were held with representatives of American businesses and potential investors. The meetings resulted in preliminary agreements and the signing of agreements providing for joint projects in the hospitality industry, education, IT, food production, logistics, healthcare, agricultural processing, and the development of tourism infrastructure.
One of the key highlights of the visit was a series of meetings with representatives of the Uzbek diaspora. Compatriots had the opportunity to discuss directly with regional officials issues related to doing business, implementing investment projects, obtaining land plots, interacting with government agencies, and supporting entrepreneurial initiatives. Some requests were addressed directly during the meetings, while relevant instructions were given to the responsible authorities on other matters.
Participants emphasized the importance of such events, which help maintain an open dialogue between regional authorities and Uzbek citizens living abroad. In their view, meetings like these contribute to strengthening cooperation, attracting investment, and expanding the involvement of compatriots in the socio-economic development of the Samarkand Region.
The events were made possible with the support of VATAN Global Alliance, representatives of the Uzbek diaspora in the United States, and diplomatic missions of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
