Consular app for Uzbek citizens abroad

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan has introduced an official mobile app that allows citizens to access certain consular services remotely. The new service is designed for Uzbek compatriots living abroad, as well as those planning to travel to other countries.

The app brings together essential consular services, informational resources, and contact details for diplomatic missions in one place. The main goal of the project is to simplify communication between citizens and embassies and consulates, reduce the time required to process documents, and make accessing consular services more convenient.

Available features
At the initial stage, users already have access to several important features. They cover the most frequently requested consular services and allow users to obtain essential information without visiting diplomatic missions in person. The developers plan to expand the app’s functionality over time by adding new services and features for citizens abroad.

Finding embassies and consulates
The app includes a comprehensive database of all diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad. Users can quickly find the address, contact information, and map location of the embassy or consulate they need.
The app also offers a consular district lookup feature, which allows users to determine which diplomatic mission is responsible for serving their country or region of residence.

Accessing consular services online
The app already allows users to submit documents remotely for:

• obtaining a certificate for returning to Uzbekistan;
• temporary consular registration;
• permanent consular registration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that the range of available services will gradually expand in the future.

Automatic document completion
One of the app’s key features is its automatic form-filling system. After users enter their basic information, most required fields — approximately 80% — are completed automatically. This significantly reduces the time required to submit applications and helps minimize errors when completing documents.

Visa requirements guide
Another useful feature is a built-in section with information on visa requirements imposed by different countries on Uzbek citizens.
The service is currently operating in test mode, but its database is regularly updated and gradually expanded with new information.

The app is available for free
The official app is free to download and is already available for Android and iOS devices. It allows citizens to find essential information more quickly, access consular services without an in-person visit, and stay connected with Uzbekistan’s diplomatic missions around the world.

The launch of the mobile app marks another step in the digitalization of government services and is intended to make interactions between citizens and consular institutions faster, more convenient, and more accessible, regardless of the country of residence.
