Vatan Global Alliance hosts delegation of Uzbek notaries

Philadelphia welcomed an official delegation from the Notarial Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the first time, led by its Chairman, Dilshod Ashurov. As part of the visit, Vatan Global Alliance hosted an open meeting between representatives of the notarial community and Uzbek compatriots living in the United States.
The main purpose of the event was to inform citizens about the modern capabilities of Uzbekistan’s notarial system and discuss current legal issues faced by Uzbeks living abroad.

During the meeting, participants received detailed information about the transition of Uzbekistan’s notarial system to a digital service model, the significant simplification of notarial procedures, the e-notarius.uz online portal, the “Notarius maslahati” Telegram channel, and the availability of various notarial services online without the need to travel to Uzbekistan.

Particular attention was given to the most commonly requested services, including powers of attorney, inheritance matters, gift agreements, wills, property documents, and other notarial procedures. The discussion was held in an open dialogue format, allowing participants to receive answers to their questions and practical guidance from specialists.

Uzbek compatriots highly appreciated the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan’s notarial sector, noting the development of digital services, improved access to notarial services, and continued efforts to enhance the country’s legal service system.

The event was organized with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in New York. During the meeting, consular officers Botirjon Eminjonov and Nodir Shamakhsudov also provided consultations on consular registration, passport and certificate issuance, maintaining pension payments, obtaining certificates for returning to Uzbekistan, legal assistance for citizens, and other current consular matters.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed interest in organizing similar events in the future with specialists from various fields, ensuring that Uzbek compatriots abroad have access to comprehensive and up-to-date information on issues they may encounter in their daily lives.

After the official part of the event, the delegation visited the recently opened ASR supermarket, owned by the Khamrokulov family. The guests learned more about the new retail operation, met with its management and staff, and highlighted the contribution of local entrepreneurs to the development of the Uzbek community in Philadelphia.
