Meeting with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation held in Philadelphia

A working meeting between representatives of Vatan Global Alliance and an official delegation from the Republic of Uzbekistan was held at Samarkand Steakhouse in Philadelphia. The meeting served as an important platform for open dialogue between Uzbekistan’s government institutions and Uzbek compatriots living in the United States.
The delegation included Olimjon Suyunovich Abdullaev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jamil Sharapov, Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in New York, the leadership of the recently established Migration Agency, as well as other representatives of relevant government institutions.

Representing the Vatan community organization, the meeting was attended by organization activists who presented issues and proposals of concern to the Uzbek diaspora in the United States.

During the constructive dialogue, participants discussed current issues related to supporting compatriots abroad, improving migration policy, strengthening cooperation between government institutions and the diaspora, and creating more favorable conditions for Uzbek citizens living in the United States.

Particular attention was given to practical initiatives aimed at simplifying access to government services, developing mechanisms for interaction with official institutions, and addressing issues faced by Uzbek compatriots abroad. Following the meeting, a number of specific proposals were put forward, and work on their implementation has already begun.

Participants expressed confidence that the agreements reached will contribute to further strengthening cooperation between Uzbekistan’s government institutions and the Uzbek community in the United States, while creating new opportunities and greater convenience for Uzbek compatriots in the near future.
