Uzbek diaspora expands its presence across the United States

As part of efforts to strengthen connections within the Uzbek diaspora in the United States and foster cooperation among compatriots, two new regional organizations — “Vatan New York” and “Vatan New Jersey” — have been established. These organizations became the first representatives of Vatan Global Alliance in the states of New York and New Jersey.
The organization was previously established in the United States with the goal of fostering cooperation among Uzbek diaspora communities, entrepreneurs, community activists, and young people, as well as developing unified approaches to supporting compatriots and implementing joint initiatives.

The decision to establish the new regional organizations was made during a meeting between the organization’s leadership and representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in New York. Special attention was given to New York as one of the largest centers of the Uzbek community in the United States.

The new organizations will focus on increasing community engagement, involving entrepreneurs, young people, and activists in community initiatives, and implementing educational, cultural, and charitable projects. Strengthening ties with the historic homeland will also be an important area of their work.

Uzbek diaspora entrepreneur and community leader Bakhtiyor Kadyrov has been appointed to lead the new organizations. In the near future, a working team will be formed and the first initiatives aimed at supporting compatriots in New York and New Jersey will be launched.

Participants in the meeting noted that further strengthening cooperation within the diaspora will help improve the effectiveness of joint efforts, expand the participation of compatriots in community life, and strengthen the position of the Uzbek community in American society.

The establishment of “Vatan New York” and “Vatan New Jersey” is also timed to coincide with the upcoming 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence and carries important symbolic significance. The new organizations are expected to become centers for cultural, educational, and community events aimed at preserving national traditions and strengthening ties with the homeland.

The launch of these organizations also marks the first stage in expanding the organization’s activities. Vatan Global Alliance plans to develop its network in other regions of the United States with significant Uzbek populations. This expansion is expected to bring together the potential of entrepreneurs, young people, and community activists across the country and provide new momentum to the development of the Uzbek diaspora movement in the United States.
