Book presentation and interest among Uzbek compatriots abroad
During the book presentations, discussions focused on the reforms being implemented in New Uzbekistan in recent years, large-scale changes taking place across the country, measures aimed at improving the well-being of the population, and Uzbekistan’s growing role on the international stage.

The response from event participants demonstrated the strong interest of Uzbeks living abroad in the developments taking place in their historic homeland. In their view, geographic distance and life overseas cannot break the spiritual and human connection between compatriots and Uzbekistan.

Ties with compatriots abroad reach a new level
The statement also highlights the significant changes in Uzbekistan’s approach in recent years toward citizens and compatriots living abroad. Previously, for Uzbeks living in the United States and Canada, traveling to their homeland, meeting with loved ones, and maintaining regular connections with Uzbekistan were often associated with various challenges.

Today, opportunities in this area have expanded significantly. As part of a policy of openness and a people-centered approach, increasing attention is being given to cooperation with compatriots abroad, taking their views and suggestions into account, strengthening their ties with Uzbekistan, and making use of their knowledge and experience for the country’s development.

The authors of the statement also expressed a positive assessment of the growing relationship between Uzbekistan and the United States. They noted that direct dialogue between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and U.S. President Donald Trump, high-level meetings and phone calls, as well as expanding contacts with the U.S. administration, Congress, and business leaders, are contributing to growing interest in Uzbekistan.

Alongside political dialogue between the two countries, new opportunities are emerging in trade and economic relations, investment, education, culture, and other areas.

Compatriots as a bridge between Uzbekistan and the world
The statement places particular emphasis on the responsibility of Uzbeks living abroad. According to the compatriots, they should not only follow developments in Uzbekistan but also serve as worthy representatives of their homeland in the countries where they live. Among their key priorities are sharing accurate information about Uzbekistan’s history, culture, values, and modern development, supporting the country’s interests, and creating new connections and opportunities for international cooperation.

In this area, Vatan Global Alliance works to bring together Uzbek compatriots living in the United States and Canada, consolidate their intellectual, economic, and social potential around common initiatives, and further strengthen their ties with Uzbekistan.
The organization seeks to develop relationships with members of the U.S. Congress, including Congressmen Brian Fitzpatrick and Brendan Boyle, as well as government and community leaders at the state and city levels, governors’ and mayors’ offices, business representatives, and members of various national communities.

The authors of the statement expressed their desire for more people in the United States, Canada, and other countries to learn about Uzbekistan. They intend to introduce the international community more broadly to the country’s rich history and culture, national values, modern economic opportunities, and achievements.

Other important priorities include attracting American entrepreneurs and investors to Uzbekistan, introducing modern technologies, sharing knowledge and expertise, developing educational and cultural exchanges, and strengthening the connection between younger generations who grew up abroad and their historic homeland.

“Our homeland’s reputation is our reputation”
The presentations of the book Millat Shavkati in the United States once again demonstrated that Uzbek compatriots living abroad maintain a strong connection with Uzbekistan and a deep interest in the changes taking place in the country.

This sentiment is expressed in the statement through the words:
“Our homeland’s reputation is our reputation.”

The compatriots emphasized that they view Uzbekistan’s achievements as their own successes and consider the country’s flag, proudly raised on the international stage, a source of pride and dignity.

They expressed their readiness to contribute to Uzbekistan’s development by using their knowledge, experience, resources, and international connections for the benefit of their homeland. They also expressed their willingness to support the further development of friendly and partnership relations between Uzbekistan and the United States.

At the conclusion of the statement, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was wished good health, strength, family well-being, and continued success in his work for the benefit of the country.

Congratulations on the 35th anniversary of independence
In the final part of the statement, the compatriots congratulated President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and, through him, the people of Uzbekistan on the 35th anniversary of independence. They described independence as one of the fundamental values of the Uzbek people, a source of national pride, and an important foundation for the country’s future development.

The statement also notes that Uzbekistan’s growing international standing, large-scale transformations within the country, and confidence in the future further highlight the historic significance of independence. The compatriots wished Uzbekistan peace and prosperity, the people well-being, continued independence, and the country further strengthened standing on the international stage.
