Uzbekistan’s Flag to Be Raised in Philadelphia in Honor of the 35th Anniversary of Independence
To mark the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, Vatan Global Alliance invites fellow community members to take part in a ceremonial raising of the national flag at Philadelphia City Hall. On October 8, 2026, the national flag of Uzbekistan will be raised at Philadelphia City Hall. For the Uzbek community, this will be a meaningful occasion and a symbol of unity, respect for national traditions, and connection to the homeland.
The ceremony will take place in the heart of Philadelphia and bring together members of the diaspora, families, friends, and guests.

The event is organized by Vatan Global Alliance. Representatives of the diplomatic and consular missions of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the United States, as well as Uzbekistan’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations, are expected to attend.

The raising of Uzbekistan’s national flag in the center of one of the largest cities in the United States will be an important and memorable moment for the entire community. The organizers hope the ceremony will become an annual tradition, bringing compatriots together to celebrate Uzbekistan’s independence, preserve national culture, and strengthen ties within the diaspora.
